Kazawallet AML & KYC Policy

Please read this Policy carefully before using the Kazawallet Platform or any of its services.

This Policy explains the general principles and procedures adopted by Kazawallet for anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing, user identity verification, sanctions compliance, fraud prevention, and monitoring risks associated with the use of the Platform and its services.

Kazawallet is a technology platform and is not a bank, financial institution, payment institution, or licensed custodian. The Platform is operated by KASROAD LTD, a company incorporated in the United Kingdom with company number 16721888.

Kazawallet does not target its services to residents of the United Kingdom, and the Platform must not be used from any jurisdiction where the Platform’s services are prohibited, restricted, or require a licence, authorisation, or approval that is not available to the Platform or to the relevant service providers.

Certain services available through the Platform may be facilitated or provided by third parties, including service providers, financial institutions, payment processors, card service providers, blockchain networks, liquidity providers, custodians, compliance and risk analysis providers, or licensed service providers, depending on the service type, jurisdiction, and applicable regulatory framework.

By using the Platform or any of its services, you acknowledge and agree to comply with this Policy, in addition to the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and any other policies or terms applicable to the services you use.

1. Purpose of this Policy

This Policy is intended to:

  • explain Kazawallet’s general standards for preventing money laundering, terrorist financing, and fraud;

  • explain identity verification and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements;

  • explain when additional documents or information may be requested;

  • explain Kazawallet’s right to monitor transactions and restrict, suspend, or refuse certain activities;

  • protect users, the Platform, and Third-Party Service Providers from unlawful or high-risk activity;

  • support compliance with laws, contractual obligations, and Third-Party Service Provider requirements.

2. General Compliance Principles

Kazawallet applies a risk-based approach to compliance procedures, including the assessment of users, transactions, payment methods, jurisdictions, Digital Assets, sources of funds, and usage patterns.

Kazawallet seeks to prevent the use of the Platform for any of the following activities:

  • money laundering;

  • terrorist financing;

  • fraud or deception;

  • sanctions evasion;

  • use of stolen or unlawful funds or assets;

  • use of accounts or payment methods belonging to third parties without authorisation;

  • receiving or sending funds connected to high-risk or unlawful activities;

  • misuse of card, crypto, agent, or local payment services;

  • any activity that breaches Applicable Laws, Kazawallet’s terms, or Third-Party Service Provider requirements.

3. Identity Verification (KYC)

Kazawallet may require users to complete identity verification procedures before using certain services, accessing certain limits, or carrying out certain transactions.

Verification information and documents may include, without limitation:

  • full name;

  • date of birth;

  • nationality;

  • country of residence;

  • residential address;

  • phone number and email address;

  • valid government-issued identification document;

  • photo, selfie, or biometric verification where required;

  • proof of address;

  • information about profession or business activity;

  • source of funds or source of wealth;

  • purpose of using the Platform;

  • any additional information that Kazawallet or its service providers consider necessary.

Kazawallet reserves the right to request updated verification data or documents at any time, especially where documents expire, user information changes, risk indicators appear, or additional services are used.

4. Accuracy of Information and User Obligation

The user represents and warrants that all information and documents provided to Kazawallet are accurate, complete, up to date, and not misleading.

The user must update their information immediately when any material change occurs, including changes to name, address, nationality, country of residence, phone number, email address, source of funds, or nature of activity.

Providing inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or forged information may result in:

  • failed verification;

  • Account restrictions;

  • suspension or cancellation of services;

  • refusal or delay of transactions;

  • Account closure;

  • reporting to competent authorities or service providers where necessary.

5. Verification Levels and Usage Limits

Kazawallet may apply different verification levels depending on the service type, transaction volume, country, payment method, Digital Asset type, or risk assessment.

The verification result may affect:

  • services available to the user;

  • deposit, withdrawal, and transfer limits;

  • access to card services;

  • access to certain local payment methods or agents;

  • requirements to provide additional documents;

  • transaction processing speed.

Kazawallet reserves the right to amend usage limits or verification requirements at any time based on risk assessment, compliance requirements, or Third-Party Service Provider policies.

6. Sanctions and Watchlist Screening

Kazawallet or Third-Party Service Providers may screen users and transactions against sanctions lists, regulatory lists, politically exposed person lists, risk lists, fraud databases, or compliance databases.

The Platform must not be used by any person or entity that:

  • is subject to international or local sanctions;

  • appears on restricted or watchlist databases;

  • acts on behalf of a sanctioned person or entity;

  • is located or operating in a region where the Platform’s services are prohibited or restricted;

  • uses the Platform to circumvent sanctions or legal or regulatory restrictions.

Where there is a match, suspected match, or risk indicator, Kazawallet may restrict the Account, delay the transaction, refuse service, request additional information, or report to competent authorities or relevant service providers.

7. Source of Funds and Source of Wealth

Kazawallet may request documents or information proving the source of funds, source of wealth, or purpose of a transaction, especially in the following cases:

  • high-value transactions;

  • repeated or unusual transactions;

  • activity that does not match the user’s profile or normal behaviour;

  • use of Digital Assets from high-risk addresses or platforms;

  • use of local payment methods or agents;

  • use of card services or repeated top-ups;

  • indicators of fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing, or sanctions evasion;

  • request from a Third-Party Service Provider or competent authority.

Source of funds or source of wealth documents may include:

  • bank statements;

  • proof of income or salary;

  • sale agreements or invoices;

  • business or tax records;

  • proof of asset ownership;

  • crypto transaction records or TXIDs;

  • any other documents Kazawallet considers appropriate.

Failure to provide acceptable documents may result in the transaction being delayed or refused, or the Account being restricted or closed.

8. Transaction Monitoring

Kazawallet may monitor user transactions and usage patterns for compliance, security, fraud prevention, and risk management purposes.

Monitoring may include:

  • analysis of deposit, withdrawal, and transfer patterns;

  • review of transaction volume and frequency;

  • screening wallet addresses and TXIDs;

  • use of blockchain analytics tools;

  • review of local payment methods and agents;

  • monitoring repeated or declined payment attempts;

  • review of devices, IP addresses, and Account behaviour;

  • review of third-party relationships or use of accounts not owned by the user.

Kazawallet may delay, refuse, suspend, or cancel any transaction if it is considered suspicious, unusual, high-risk, or in breach of this Policy or the Terms of Service.

9. Digital Assets and Blockchain Analytics

For Digital Asset transactions, Kazawallet or Third-Party Service Providers may use blockchain analytics tools to assess the risk of addresses and transactions.

Certain transactions or addresses may be considered high risk if they are directly or indirectly associated with:

  • sanctioned addresses or platforms;

  • darknet markets;

  • ransomware;

  • hacks, theft, or fraud;

  • mixing or obfuscation services;

  • unregulated or high-risk platforms;

  • activity inconsistent with the user’s profile;

  • unsupported or suspicious chains, tokens, or smart contracts.

If a transaction or address is classified as high risk, Kazawallet or the service provider may refuse the transaction, not credit the balance, request additional information, delete or change the deposit address, return the amount where possible, or take any other action in accordance with the Terms of Service and the Crypto Deposit and Recovery Policy.

10. Agents and Local Payment Methods

Some Kazawallet services may involve local agents, local payment methods, or third parties to facilitate deposits, withdrawals, or transfers.

Kazawallet may apply additional verification procedures to such transactions, including:

  • verifying the identity of the sender or receiver;

  • requesting receipts or proof of payment;

  • prohibiting the use of unauthorised third parties;

  • verifying that the account holder or beneficiary name matches;

  • requesting information about the source of funds and transaction purpose;

  • refusing transactions that contain fraud indicators or compliance risks.

Users must not use agents or local payment methods to bypass verification procedures, conceal the source of funds, or carry out transactions for unauthorised third parties.

11. Card Services

Card services available through Kazawallet may be subject to additional compliance procedures by Kazawallet, the Card Service Provider, the issuer, or the payment network.

Additional reviews may apply in the following cases:

  • repeated or unusual card top-ups;

  • repeated declined payment attempts;

  • use of the card with high-risk merchants;

  • attempts to send funds to the card from an external party;

  • activity suspected to involve fund circulation or misuse of the card;

  • request from the Card Service Provider, payment network, or competent authority.

Any attempt to top up the card from an unauthorised external source or to use the card in breach of the card terms may result in card suspension or cancellation, Account restriction, or balance review.

12. Prohibited Activities

The Platform and its services must not be used for any of the following activities:

  • money laundering or terrorist financing;

  • fraud, deception, or impersonation;

  • use of stolen or unlawful funds or assets;

  • sanctions evasion or circumvention of regulatory restrictions;

  • use of accounts, cards, wallets, or payment methods belonging to third parties without authorisation;

  • receiving or sending funds on behalf of unauthorised third parties;

  • illegal gambling;

  • darknet activity;

  • ransomware or cyber extortion;

  • illegal trade or prohibited goods and services;

  • manipulation of the Platform or attempts to bypass transaction limits or verification procedures;

  • any activity that breaches Applicable Laws, Kazawallet’s terms, or Third-Party Service Provider requirements.

13. Actions Kazawallet May Take

If Kazawallet determines, at its sole discretion, that there is suspicious, high-risk, or prohibited activity, it may take one or more of the following actions:

  • request additional information or documents;

  • delay or review a transaction;

  • refuse or cancel a transaction;

  • restrict deposits, withdrawals, or transfers;

  • freeze or restrict balances;

  • suspend the Account or certain services;

  • close the Account;

  • delete or change deposit addresses;

  • suspend or cancel the card;

  • refuse to open an Account or issue a card;

  • share information with service providers or competent authorities where appropriate or required;

  • take any other action Kazawallet considers necessary to protect the Platform, users, service providers, or comply with the law.

These actions may be based on confidential criteria, risk tools, third-party information, or service-provider requirements, and Kazawallet is not obligated to disclose their details where doing so may affect security, compliance, investigations, partners, or users.

14. Reporting and Cooperation with Authorities

Kazawallet may cooperate with regulators, law enforcement authorities, courts, service providers, financial institutions, compliance providers, or payment networks where necessary.

Kazawallet may share user or transaction information where required or appropriate for:

  • compliance with laws;

  • prevention of fraud or financial crime;

  • responding to legal or regulatory requests;

  • investigating suspicious activity;

  • protecting the rights of Kazawallet, users, or service providers;

  • meeting Third-Party Service Provider requirements.

15. Retention of Compliance Records

Kazawallet may retain records related to identity verification, transactions, reviews, documents, correspondence, complaints, and investigations for as long as necessary for compliance, fraud prevention, risk management, accounting, disputes, or legal and regulatory obligations.

Certain records may continue to be retained after Account closure or termination of the relationship with the user, in accordance with the Privacy Policy, Applicable Laws, and Third-Party Service Provider requirements.

16. User Responsibility for Compliance

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Platform and Services is lawful and permitted in your country or jurisdiction.

You must not use Kazawallet if use of the Services is prohibited or restricted in your country, or if such use requires a licence or approval that is not available to you, the Platform, or the relevant service providers.

You acknowledge that Kazawallet may not be able to identify all legal restrictions applicable to you, and that you are responsible for complying with laws applicable to your use of the Services.

17. No Guarantee of Transaction Completion

Kazawallet does not guarantee completion of any transaction, deposit, withdrawal, transfer, card top-up, or Digital Asset operation where the transaction is subject to compliance review, legal restrictions, service-provider requirements, security risks, or operational risks.

Any transaction may be delayed, refused, or cancelled even after submission or after appearing as pending if risk indicators or additional compliance requirements arise.

18. Updates to this Policy

Kazawallet reserves the right to amend or update this Policy at any time.

The updated version becomes effective once published on the Platform, unless otherwise stated.

Your continued use of the Platform after the updated version is published constitutes your acceptance of the amended Policy.

19. Relationship with Other Policies

This Policy shall be read together with the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Kazawallet Visa Card Terms, Risk Policy, and any other policies published on the Platform.

In the event of any conflict between this Policy and a policy or terms specific to a particular service, the service-specific terms shall prevail in relation to that service only, unless otherwise stated.
